November 15, Kazan Startup Week started in Kazan IT Park. Yes, there are a lot of such events now, but here they do it on more or less prepared soil. Plus, every year there are more and more programmers, their work with children's audience
http://juniorstartup.ru and
http: //litlitsey.rf is especially interesting, but the note will be a little bit different, albeit partially with the same participants.

So, on Saturday-Sunday in Kazan Hackathon took place. On the first day, as usual, there were presentations of ideas and as a result, after 24 hours of coding (3-4 teams did
n’t really
sleep all night), a little more than 30 of 50 projects remained.

In addition to a large number of games, there were applications that simulate evacuation from buildings, a chemical reaction visualizer, and even a project that can detect cancer in the early stages of the disease.
As a result, the jury chose the six most fresh and creative ideas:
1st place - Coobe - a 3D game based on 2048, where the cubes add up in three dimensions and change color;
2nd place - The Second - the main task of the player - click on the screen exactly after 1 second from the beginning of the countdown. If the player manages to do this, he is awarded 1 point, and the process repeats. The maximum number of points scored on the Hackathon is 4. By the way, this is the only application that was written completely from scratch on iOS, Android and WP platforms.
3rd place - Tetra Forms - development, and maybe even rethinking of Tetris;
4th place - Washington Red Kings - an application that allows you to recognize an excerpt of an audiobook and write it in notes;
5th place - Runz is an interesting game, somewhat reminiscent of pinball - the player must hold the ball to the hole, bypassing dangerous places and drawing obstacles with his finger for a better rebound;
6th place - Fun Chemistry - a school project aimed at adding interactivity to the boring study of chemical formulas.

Probably, almost everyone will remain just prototypes and will not enter the market, which is a pity. By the way, no idea how to use these alpha and beta versions? How do you like the idea of putting everything in open source, if the team does not return to the project in 3-6 months?
