Which GIS to use after the actual death of Google Maps?
Today, our organization’s maps have been disconnected from the old version of Google maps.
Given the way the new version of Google Maps works, in fact, it has become impossible to use it.
I suspect that our needs are non-unique - which means finding alternatives may be useful for other people.
The main function for which we use maps is the calculation of distances from pre-determined points (marks on the map) in mass order (several dozen per working day).

What has changed in the new map:
After it became clear that it was impossible to build routes en masse, and switching to the paid version would not help, the question of alternatives arose.
The only known alternative web service that allows you to customize your maps is Yandex.cards.
In addition to irrelevant drawbacks (such as much weaker opportunities for formatting tags, which is why the card loses its visibility), the main disadvantage is the inability to combine viewing your own map and the constructed route.
For Yandex, these are unrelated things, a route is a route, my map is my map, and you can see one or the other.
Total : fairly straightforward needs for using cards are now unavailable, even for money.
Are any alternative services known to anyone that would make it possible to calculate distances from their tags without restrictions, even if for money?

- Routes are designed as layers and automatically saved on the map. The free version is limited to 5 layers, paid - 10. To remove a route layer that instantly becomes obsolete after calculation, you need 4 clicks. Previously, routes from points on the map could be considered in unlimited quantities,
- Mashrut is calculated longer and the function is unstable - despite the editing rights, non-owners of the map often receive the message “you cannot add layers on this map”,
- Even when the route is built, information about its length is available only by clicking "step by step" - there is no information in the basic interface
- If you need to extend the route through a certain point, then you will not be able to delete it - just move it to another place, or you need to re-calculate the route.
