Hello!
As many habrovchane already know, after 4 weeks in Moscow, we will hold a conference for .NET-programmers
.NEXT 2014 Moscow . In the shortest possible time, in just a couple of weeks, we managed to assemble a powerful team of speakers. There are both toolmakers from JetBrains and DevExpress, and evangelists from Microsoft (where can I go without them?), And
suddenly the tops of the local .NET-hub.
Today (Tuesday, November 11) we have announced 18 reports (UPDATE: already 19 -
added Dino Esposito , author of the coolest books on ASP.NET), but that's not all. The program is formed by about three quarters. Initially, we wanted to make 3 parallel rooms, but now, apparently, we have to make the fourth one.

Want to know what we did? Let's go under cat.

Competitors are a plus!
Competitors are good at helping us generate ideas. We look at some, at others, at third and as a result, we understand what we don’t like about them and what we like. All this we take on the hardcore module and voila - here it is: a new, fresh, Moscow.
What makes us different from other Russian .NET conferences?
- unlike MS DevCon , we are for developers , not “for business”;
- Chelyabinsk DotnetConf . They are good guys, but unlike us, they take into the program reports about Ajaila, backlog and other problems with the staff . In addition, we have three times more reports.
- Finally, unlike Go # , which will take place in Moscow this Saturday, we are concentrating on technology , and not on career opportunities. However, everyone who thinks more pragmatically is definitely worth going to Go #.
Classify
In the reports of our conference, there are 2 major areas: Runtime and Developer Tools. Traditionally, all of our conferences have focused specifically on Runtime, but this time, at the expense of very sponsor-toolmakers and 20 applications for Call for Paper, we will get strong Tools-flow. Let's see together what we have drawn.
Runtime
Here we have 8 reports:
- Kirill Skrygan, one of the leading Resharper developers and the best speaker of the April .NEXT in St. Petersburg, will talk about the performance problems that their team faces every day;
- Mikhail Shcherbakov will talk about the main components of the .NET Framework 4 security architecture
- Together with Roman Belov from JetBrains we will look at memory problems - Memory Leak and Memory Traffic
- Dmitry Ivanov will touch on the topic of practical multithreading
- Stanislav Sidristy from Luxoft Training will tell about his favorite topic - the insides of the CLR
- Karlen Simonyan will raise the topic Dynamic Language Runtime
- Andrey Akinshin will compare MS.NET of different versions with Mono
Developer Tools
This section is much smaller:
- Dmitry Nesteruk from JetBrains will talk about the latest ReSharper
- Igor Manushin will tell about FitNesse and about some of its features that complicate life
- Roman Ageev from DevExpress will tell us about their own tule - DevExpress Dashboard
- Andrey Gordienkov from Luxoft Training will tell us about PostSharp
- Vladimir Almaev will show us how AutoFixture simplifies the life of a developer.
Rest
- Dmitry Soshnikov from Microsoft will talk about reactive programming on F #
- Sergey Shkredov, the head of .NET-department in JetBrains, will talk about how to solve problems of development and maintenance of programs that use DSL
- Mikhail Samarin will tell you about the WinPhon hardware API
- Microsoft Pugachev from Microsoft will talk about creating WinRT-components for universal applications
- Andrey Chasovskikh will tell about the async / await model
- Finally, Timur Guev will go through the new .NET 6.0 and, perhaps, look into the implementation of new features.
What we (yet?) Lack
We can recognize our weaknesses. Let's take a look at what topics we sinking.
- Bloody Enterprise - if you want to make a report on this topic, then immediately write to me in PM!
- NuGet and other build systems - do the same
- DI / IoC - use the instructions from the previous two points!
- ASP.NET vNext - we are negotiating with two potential speakers
- Forgot anything else? - write in comments!
Only four weeks left
Even less. I urge you not to pull, and as soon as possible to buy tickets to .NEXT 2014 Moscow - technical conferences, especially profile ones - are still a rarity. If there are many .NET colleagues around you, or among your friends, tell them about the conference: it may be useful to them, and they will be grateful to you.
