I love boring puzzles. Rereading the old records, I found this one - quite entertaining.
The hypotenuse of a right triangle (in the American standard exam) is 10 inches, and the height lowered onto it is 6 inches. Find the area of the triangle.
American schoolchildren successfully coped with this task for 10 years, but then Russian schoolchildren came from Moscow, and none of them could solve this problem, as American schoolchildren (giving a response of 30 square inches). Why?
