Paypal included automatic conversion into rubles of all receipts to the account not in rubles

On the 24th of October in the morning, I saw that the payment in dollars to my Paypal wallet automatically converted into rubles. I was surprised, but I did not attach any importance, I thought, maybe I didn’t press something, because the day before I had been dealing with technical support by phone on the issue of not passing payments to my market. In technical support, I was assured that I had the most verified wallet, the bill was in excellent condition, the payments should go through and the problem from the other side. I checked, just in case, that the currency is the default dollar and calmly closed the page.

Tonight, going into the wallet, I was horrified: all payments are automatically converted into rubles, and taking into account the fall of this ruble and the expected growth of the dollar to 45-50 rubles - this is completely unprofitable. In addition, Paypal converts dollars at 40.92 rubles per unit, which is almost a ruble cheaper than the CBR exchange rate for today.

Easy googling did not clarify the situation and I made an urgent call to technical support. As a result, I learned that some new laws were passed, and all semi-verificed and unverified Paypal users received autoconversion. And for full identification and the ability to take dollars, you must provide a passport and other documents. Taking into account that it was impossible to identify with a passport before, autoconversion was enabled for all Russian Paypal accounts.

There are two ways out for me: I threw everything I could into my second Thai wallet in Paypal and started the identification procedure for the Russian, but the situation is very tough and unpleasant.
