A few hours ago on the Canonical servers appeared links to download images and torrent files of the new version of the distribution. On the main page of the
announcement is not yet, but the announcement is already there, you can download the image
here . As always, I urge you to download .torrent and become a distribution.
There are no revolutionary changes, nothing new in the interface either. From interesting things, we can note the appearance of the “Ubuntu Developer Tools Center”, which makes it easy to install the Android SDK and all related utilities. Canonical promises to add support for Go and Dart later. Naturally, the used applications were updated and new wallpapers were added.
Since this is not LTS, support for this version of the distribution will last, as usual, only 9 months.

Not mentioned the status of systemd. This release includes it, but most packages still rely on upstart.
Nvidia Prime (for laptops with Optimus) learned to work with Tegra and got a pack of fixes.
