Introduction to the home automation system HDL

Technology "smart home" is designed to provide the maximum level of comfort for the owners of an apartment or house. It will help save time for doing household chores, because automation is now responsible for this, which controls and controls many household processes.

"Smart Home" - an integrated technical solution, implemented through software and hardware. These include: electricity consumers, household and technical appliances, various subsystems, engineering devices, which are combined into a single home control system.

We got into the hands of a demonstration set of the firm HDL, engaged in automated systems.

HDL BUS

This device is configured using the HDL-BUS software package. HDL Demo Case is connected to a computer via Ethernet or the Internet. After starting the program, a registration window will appear asking you to enter the serial number and registration code, which can be obtained by sending an email to the email address indicated there.

Each 1-IP Switch Board is capable of processing up to 253 devices:

image

After starting this program, it is required to search for devices present in our device. To begin, the address (or address range) is selected. At the end of the search, you can add the necessary devices to the workspace.

Afterword

As a result, we have a pretty good smart home system. But like everyone else, it is not without flaws. Immediately striking her great price (~ $ 2500). Program complex HDL BUS leaves much to be desired. All the study of this device was accompanied by frequent program hangs. We also could not connect to the touch screen in order to configure it (the program simply does not find it). However, I was pleased with the technical support. A couple of days after registering on the official Russian site, they called me and asked if their help was needed.
I would like to hear an objective opinion of habrayuzer on this product.
