Pangu released iOS 8.1 jailbreak without Cydia

The iPhones and their hacking bored the old heroes of the jailbreak scene. And this is a fact. Using, as usual, Twitter as a rostrum, one after another, the jailbreak authors of previous iOS versions for the entire past month, after the first public release of iOS 8, almost yawning, told that the utility for hacking Apple’s latest mobile firmware was none of they are not really engaged.

First, Pod2g from Evad3rs announced that he was dead tired of both jailbreak and iPhone. He was supported by the pimskeks. Then iH8sn0w said that the preparation and release of a jailbreak for new versions of iOS is too troublesome and ungrateful, and another famous colleague on the scene, p0sixninja, handed over his ideas to the Chinese hacker team Pangu.

But Pangu, it seems, took over the baton with enthusiasm and already yesterday, two days after the public release, iOS 8.1 released a jailbreak utility for iOS 8 and iOS 8.1.

Pangu8 runs on Windows (there is no Mac version yet, just like the Cydia app store). Using it, you can hack all Apple devices running the latest firmware version, starting with the iPod Touch 5th generation, ending with the new iPad Air 2. And today Pangu has already released version 1.0.1 , correcting some shortcomings.

Cydia is not in it (as well as the English version), but there is good news for jail lovers. Cydia founder Jay Freeman, known as Saurik, updated it to iOS 8 and 8.1 and laid out for self-download on his website . Instructions how to install Cydia on a hacked iOS device - here .

Yesterday, Pangu appealed to users with caution that its jailbreak, which provides SSH access, is primarily intended for software developers for Cydia, who can now add iOS 8 support to their applications and tweaks. In general, hackers claim that their exploits do not contain malicious code and exploits only those vulnerabilities that were still in iOS 7 and remained unclosed in iOS 8.
