The Internet does not happen much?

After the post that BTK has lowered prices, I have good news.

First I want to once again apologize to comrade Desigens for hitting the account of rose-colored glasses. The fact is that ByFly (read, BTK ), besides its prices for end users, reduced the procurement cost of the channel for private providers by 15%. Yes, of course, this “sop” from a monopolist is not too significant. But still. Yet the providers are moving.

So, as I was able to find out in Belinfonet (the brand is ADSL.by ), they are clearly thinking about revising the pricing policy or increasing the volume of traffic. The information is not verified, but it is not enough. In addition, Atlant , distributing a “freebie” in the form of a free connection to everyone on TIBO 2008 , according to insider information, from May 1, is also going to cut the cost of the Internet for the people.

And today on the “main portal of Belarus” there was news from “SOLO” about the furious fall (from 120 to 35 rubles per megabyte and below, below ...) the cost of traffic within one of the attractive tariff plans. And the speed is decent (8 Mbit per second, after all).

Of course, all this is so far completely unlike prices in Moscow or Kiev. Yes, and other costs associated with the connection (modem, cost of connection, payment of MGTS for the line), although they differ from different providers, are still high. But small steps, albeit small, are being made. First, BTK, now “SOLO”, and in the near future it may be, we will wait from other private operators.
