Published ranking of countries most affected by hackers

Britain and Germany topped the rating of countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA), the most exposed to hacker attacks, according to a 19-page report of the international company FireEye, dealing with information security.

About 17% of all attacks by cybercriminals were directed against the UK, and another 12% against various German institutions. In third place is Saudi Arabia (10%).

Experts believe that these countries have taken the brunt of themselves, since they have the reputation of states with strong and stable economies, in which active international operations are conducted by many international companies.

In addition to business, the cybercriminals' increased activity on themselves was felt by the administrative-state and telecommunications sectors, according to FireEye, which is more than 50 percent of the total number of attacks.

In addition to the above, in the top five countries most affected by hacker attacks are Turkey (9%) and Switzerland (8%). Italy and Qatar also experienced hacker attacks on their positions in the middle of this ranking. Spain, Sweden and France were the least hit by cybercriminals - 4% of the total number of attacks.

“The growing number of cyber attacks is a new reality for business and government. Subject to the preparation of an effective defensive strategy, organizations can significantly reduce risks, ”says EMEA representative Richard Turner.

In general, experts noted 2 times more attacks compared to last year. Most attacks accuse Chinese, Russian and Syrian hacker groups.
