New Favorite Kickstarter: Pronto Speed Charging

We have already seen a lot of interesting concepts and prototypes of external batteries and batteries for smartphones and other portable electronics on Kickstarter, Indiegogo and other crowdfunding platforms. And many of them raised enough money for the authors to produce a commercially successful product. But, despite the undoubted innovativeness of many of them, this did not produce any special revolutions in the industry.

However, some time ago a project was published on Kickstarter, which, according to backers and experts from specialized media (for example Chris Smith from the Boy Genius Report), has every chance on the pebble watches and Coolest Cooler portable cooler in its product category.

The Pronto charger has long passed the target amount of 50 thousand dollars. Until the end of the round of financing, another 17 days, and about $ 260 thousand have already been collected. During the last week, an average of $ 12,000 per day is added, so the final fee of more than half a million can be safely predicted.

Pronto represents the usual, at first glance, external lithium-polymer battery, which allows you to charge almost any gadget in any area, even the most distant from civilization.

What is remarkable product, so beloved "Kickstarter"? First, the charging speeds possible thanks to the Pronto PCB of Power Practical. For example, to fully charge the iPhone 5 battery with a capacity of 1.440mAh, the device will need to be charged for 5 minutes.

Unlike other competing devices, the Pronto charges very quickly, both the 25-watt Pronto 5 and the 60-watt Pronto 12. The Pronto 5 with a capacity of 4,500 mAh is equipped with a 2.4A USB port, the Pronto 12 with its 13,500 mAh has two USB ports and 12V port, with which you can charge digital cameras or laptops with a standard car adapter.

Fans of extreme rest will surely like the rigid case of anodized aluminum.

The team that developed the battery, Power Practical, is not new to the business. Previously, they developed a portable Thermoelectric PowerPot generator in 2012, went to the TV show Shark Tank and right there agreed on investments with well-known entrepreneur Mark Kyuban.

Team Pronto reaps its laurels

A less powerful version of Pronto is offered to Kickstarter backers at prices ranging from $ 59 to $ 79 (compared to a retail price of $ 99), Pronto 12 is priced at between $ 99 and $ 119 (retail price is $ 149). Deliveries of younger model developers promise in March, while Pronto 12 will go to its first owners in May.
