Watch Basor B1: what's inside the smart gadget?

IMG_9416

With smart watches now you will not surprise anyone, but Basis B1 stands out among a number of its kind. The fact is that in this watch there are a large number of sensors that help monitor their activity and life in general.

Medgadgets decided to see what is inside the smart device - what solutions are used by the manufacturer to achieve this functionality of the device. In the continuation - a description of the device, its functions, followed by a series of photographs of the disassembled device, with comments from the "electronics engineer", plus a description of the gadget's capabilities. There are a lot of photos under the screen, so be careful if you have a paid / slow link.

Basis B1 features

First of all, Basis B1 is positioned as a bioregistrar. The developers claim that their device is the most advanced fitness tracker in the world. Perhaps it is. In the lower part of the body there are a large number of sensors and sensors that help monitor the heart rate, sleep phases, energy spent per day, as well as body temperature (this function is a rarity, despite the demand) and skin moisture.

Sleep

As for sleep, the Basis B1 determines exactly when the person fell asleep and when he woke up. You can just lie down with a book, but the clock will not be deceived, and such a “activity” will not be fixed as a dream.

During sleep, the clock determines the different phases, demonstrating how well a person sleeps. Looking ahead, it is worth noting that the Basis B1 can work as a smart alarm clock, setting up a wake-up precisely when it is easiest for a person to wake up.

Activity

As mentioned above, the clock can follow the dynamics of the heart rate, also tracking how many calories a person spent per day, how many steps were taken, how much time was spent running.

In order for a person to move more actively, the developers have foreseen the game factor: the owner of the watch can use special cards with tasks that allow him to develop a useful habit. For example, getting up at a certain time early in the morning, jogging, being active for a certain amount of time.

During the run, you can monitor your heart rate or speed of running, track your own temperature (especially important for the warm season) and skin moisture.

Smart watch

In addition to the biometric functions, Basis B1 is able to do everything that a smart watch should do: display notifications about incoming SMS messages, e-mail, upcoming events and everything else.

To activate the function of smart watches, the device needs to be paired with a smartphone (data is transmitted via Bluetooth).

Software

In order for a person to get a detailed picture, analysis of their own activity, Basis B1 developers have released a number of applications for mobile devices (Android, iOS) and for Windows, Mac.

All information is transmitted to the application either wirelessly or via a data cable while the device is charging.

By the way, charging is done interestingly, in the form of a frame, which is worn on the watch. While charging, if you are sitting next to a laptop or PC, you don’t even need to remove the watch from your hand, the frame is put on the watch from above.

Conclusion : Basis B1 is a universal device that will help you organize time, do not miss the message, and wake up on time. Probably, Basis B1 has no equal gadgets in functionality. Intel bought the developer company for a reason - the watch has a great future.

By the way, now comes the new model, the next generation of Basis. We will also analyze this gadget a bit later.
