Five tools to track time spent online

Is your firefox running all the time? Constantly surf the Internet and, of course, spend a lot of time on it? Instead of losing so much time, you can do something good and productive. Below are four extensions for Firefox and one desktop application that allow you to track time spent on the web. They will give you accurate reports that you can use to reduce the time spent on useless websites.

Leechblock

LeechBlock can block sites uploaded to Firefox. You can create up to six “block sets”, each of which can contain multiple sites that should be blocked for a certain period of time. For example, you can create a list with all social networks and block them all working day. Then you can make a list with the other low-use sites and block them together at a certain time interval. In block sets, you can block only certain subdomains or parts of certain portals.

Time tracker

A simple but effective extension that tracks the time spent surfing the net. It displays the time spent in Firefox in the status bar.

In the options you can put a display of time spent on the network today, since the last restart or since the installation of Time Tracker. Also in the settings you can set when you should pause the countdown. You can add sites where it is not monitored at all. Download Time Tracker .

Rescuetime

Unlike all previous plugins, RescueTime is a desktop program. It serves the same purpose - to understand how and where you spend your time working on a network or working on a PC program. With it, you can find out which programs or websites take up most of your time (Habr, Wikipedia, Word, Google, Dreamweaver ...). Conveniently, it does all this automatically and requires almost no effort on your part. The only thing that may be required is the appointment of various programs and sites for individual tags.
