The technology developed by Samsung complies with the IEEE 802.11ad specification and uses the frequency range of 60 GHz as opposed to 2.4 and 5 GHz in modern Wi-Fi standards. This frequency allows you to get rid of interference in communication channels regardless of how many devices use the same network. Thus, the new Samsung technology bridges the gap between theoretical and actual speeds and demonstrates the real speed, which, in fact, is 10 times faster than 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless data transmission technologies.

Until now, the commercial use of the 60 GHz frequency was impossible, as millimeter waves propagated within the line of sight did not penetrate the walls and quickly lost their power, which led to reception difficulties and data packet loss.
