As it turned out, the mysterious D index denotes a double engine. The car became all-wheel drive, has higher speeds, more power and high efficiency. Now the top-of-the-range version of the electric P85D has a capacity of 691 hp, accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds, leaving behind not the worst motorcycles. The technological stuffing was not left without attention either. Tesla received a bunch of electronic assistants and systems that allow the car to be even more autonomous.

The new version of the car can read the speed limits and adjust the speed for them, and even change lanes by itself when the driver turns on the turn signal. All information comes from 12 sensors that analyze the situation around the car. Undoubtedly this is the most advanced active security system at the moment.

Some features of the update:

• New photo and radar system can recognize lights, stop signs and pedestrians.
• The radar works through fog, rain, snow and sand. It works at speeds from 5 to 150 miles per hour.
• Independent Parktronic. You can come home and get out - the car will park itself. And if you are in a private area with the car, then on request it can move slowly towards you.
• The central display now shows cars around the car.
• The car is now so aggressive that its complete "aggression" is activated only in a special mode, called "Mad".

All innovations touched and more budget models 60D and 85D. The top model P85D is expected to go on sale in December, and then other models in February. The P85D version costs $ 120,170, which is $ 14,600 more than the previous model.
