Chaos Constructions 2008
The Chaos Constructions' 2008 ($ CC8) festival will take place on August 30 and 31 (including the night) at the EURASIA cultural and exhibition center (St. Petersburg, ul. Kapitan Voronin, 13. St. Forest-Lnaya metro station).
This year the festival is again held in full format, bringing together specialists in the field of programming, graphics, demoscene, information security ( CC HackAround ), as well as those interested in electronics and the history of computing technology ( CC Antique ).
As always, an extensive competitive program is provided - demo, intro, programming, graphics, mobile devices, information security. As many know, every year we try to bring something new to the theme of the festival. Now it will focus on electronics and microcontrollers , including both plots and contests on this topic. There are ideas to cross it with the theme of hack. Stock up on soldering irons and testers :)
You will meet people like you who are passionate about computers and hardware, who come from year to year from all over Russia, Belarus, Ukraine to meet, talk, talk . We will create enough reasons for such communication.

Great importance is attached to the organization of the exhibition of technology at the festival - old, historical and simply interesting computers and devices . You can touch the history not only in a figurative but also in the literal sense of the word - our exhibition is not just exhibits. On the presented computers it will be possible to work under the operating systems that are now little known, to play games on machines where the memory is limited to a few kilobytes. Also, there will be presented some modern, noteworthy, devices.
Remember that the exhibition from year to year is created by your efforts. If you have an interesting working device - give people the opportunity to see and hear its history.
During the whole festival on the big screen we will show various videos, demos, movies on computer subjects. Interviews with exhibitors, stories about interesting software and hardware solutions.
To create the atmosphere of a computer festival, we will provide special conditions for those who come with their computers . You will be provided with free internet access (via Wi-Fi) and 220 volts.
The site is open registration of visitors and participants .
Ticket price for both days - 400 rubles.
For girls entry is free .
Exhibitors of the exhibition (must be agreed with the organizing committee) are also free of charge.
Entry is paid directly at the festival, on any of the days. Tickets for one day are not provided.
