Yesterday, the head of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, wrote on his Twitter about an important event in the company's life: the presentation of a new electric vehicle model. Unfortunately, the details were not indicated - it is not even known which particular model will be shown.

Most likely, a presentation of the Model D model will be held, which can be considered the successor of the most popular version of the Tesla electric car, the Model S. nothing.

It may well be that will be told about the new factory of batteries for Tesla cars - about which they have written on Habré more than once. Earlier it was reported that the factory will be built in Nevada. Another guess is that the Driver Assist system will be shown - this is a new automatic vehicle control system. Tesla has previously said that the company is working on a reliable system of automatic control of cars, and there are still 5-6 years before the appearance of serial car robots.

Among other things, the company announced plans to release a compact electric sedan called Model III. The dimensions of the Model III should be 20% smaller than the dimensions of the Model S, and the battery should be enough for 320 kilometers. The price of the car will be 35 thousand US dollars (30 thousand pounds sterling for the UK). In Model III, as far as is known, there will be no aluminum platform, like the Model S, plus new generation batteries will be installed. Just such batteries will be produced at the new Tesla factory.
