Notes on PC, PDA (and online)?

Long and hard to torment me a question. Often need all kinds of information that happens in different places. Therefore, there is a need for specialized software. :)
All I have so far managed to find more or less worthy is:
1. EverNote .
There are in three versions - a program on a PC, a client for PDAs and an online version. All three are synchronized with each other. Scary handy thing, but has disadvantages:
- All this is paid;
- The version for PDAs does not store any data on the device itself, and this creates problems in the absence of a permanent connection to the network.
But unlike the second program, it has a tool for copying any data from anywhere (including snapshots of any part of the screen) and absorbs texts of any size, along with pictures and formatting.

* I have 9 invites for the on-line version (it seems that it also gives the opportunity to use the client) and I don’t feel sorry for them. :)

2. PhatNotes
There are two versions - for PC and PDA. Also both are paid. The client for the PC loses EverNote in functionality and capabilities, while the client for the PC closes the same for the belt. All data is stored offline and synchronized when the PDA is connected to the computer. The main drawback is the limited size of the note (~ 32600 characters, which is not enough for a voluminous article).
')
Both options are not fully satisfied. I even thought about keeping everything simple in ordinary documents, but it is hemorrhoid and inconvenient.

Maybe someone decided for themselves this problem more optimally?
