Apple Store Online

On April 17, 2008, Apple’s US patent and trademark patent applications published under the name Enhancing Online Shopping Atmosphere.

The patent relates generally to improving the user experience in Apple’s online stores in the future. Although Apple points to the obvious advantages of online shopping, such as, for example, 24/7 is constantly open, fast, convenient search, and, of course, the ability to shop without leaving home. However, Apple recognizes that it will take them a long time to get closer to how it happens in the real world. The patent indicates that the user feels in an online store in complete isolation from the rest of the world. Because of this, the client receives less positive emotions and therefore makes fewer purchases than if he were in a real store.

One of the newest trends in the network Second Life, 3-D virtual world created by its inhabitants. After opening to the public in 2003, Second Life grew at an incredible pace, and today millions of people from different countries of the world live there. Also, there are open virtual offices of many companies including Apple.

Judging by the description of the invention and the attached illustrations, Apple conceived no less than its own version of the virtual world like the well-known network life simulator Second Life - three-dimensional interiors, day and night, and the opportunity to communicate with other virtual customers who went to Apple Store Onine. An interesting moment - ways to liven up the atmosphere in the company's virtual store are depicted on the example of a certain Alice (Alice), which vividly refers to the Carroll books, and the very first game for the Apple Macintosh.

Apple Store Online virtualization (so far on paper as an unregistered invention) is actually another vivid example of the fact that nothing is new under the sun: in the mid-nineties, Apple managed to join the emerging Internet services boom by launching the failed eWorld project (details - in the "Wikipedia"). And the Apple Store stores in the digital world of Second Life have been around for a long time.
