Imagine Cup hackathons are unique two-day events organized by Microsoft in cooperation with
the Internet Initiatives Development Foundation (IIDF) specifically for those who would like to learn how to create modern mobile and cloud applications. In the next couple of months, we will visit 8 different cities of Russia to help novice developers to invent and create new applications on the Microsoft platform, as well as to spend an unforgettable night in a company with computers and like-minded people.

What can participants do on the hackathon?
- Quickly learn the basics of developing modern applications and games (in C #).
- Come up with your own idea, which can be implemented in a few hours. If you have no idea yet - we will help!
- Program the prototype of the application using the knowledge gained and a library of examples. If you have difficulties - we will help, and even sometimes we will write code for you!
- Look at the ideas and applications of other students, participate in a mini-competition based on the results of the hackathon, and get acquainted with the community of active student-developers in your city.
- Apply for the Imagine Cup competition or for participating in a Microsoft student partner program.
- Learn about business models of modern applications and how you can make a startup from the idea and prototype of an application.
- Spend an exciting night with a team of friends for a laptop!
')
An application developed on a hackathon can be the basis for a project submitted for the Imagine Cup competition, either the
start of its startup or just a good line on the resume (not every IT specialist can boast of his application in one of the app stores).

Participation in events is free. Registration and additional information on the website:

Since active participants of the habr are less than 10% of progressive humanity, we kindly ask you to bring information to your friends and acquaintances who will be interested in participating in the hackathon. With your help, we hope to reach as many students as possible who are not indifferent to the topic of modern mobile programming.
See you soon at events!
