Wearable coworking from the Netherlands

In the Netherlands, a curious coworking model was invented.

The Netherlands is famous for its squatting traditions, when any vacant premises, be it a plant or a frozen long-term construction site, are instantly populated by a variety of free-thinking public. Naturally, having set a goal to arrange a coworking studio, our Dutch comrades had no idea to rent a collective office. And really - why pay rent, if there are always so many vacant premises in the city that the previous tenant has already vacated, and the new one has not yet moved in?

The author of the idea was the creative agency Nieuwe Garde . The calculation was based on the fact that the owners of real estate that is being rented are interested in presenting it in the most favorable light, and therefore will be happy to launch stray freelancers into it to create the appearance of life and comfort of the premises.

The idea is that for potential tenants a lively working atmosphere will make the room more attractive than the bare walls and the booming echo of empty space. The main thing is that all this code is quickly removed as soon as the tenant expresses a desire to move in. And especially in this case, the agency commissioned a progressive designer, by the name of Jack Brandsma , to make furniture that could be transformed from a compact box into an elegant office with a light movement.

Jack invented a folding work area, a conference table and a mini-bar, each with integrated lighting and sun visors. Each item quickly folds / unfolds for transportation. You can watch the video.

The project was named SparedSpace and has already been seen by the international community as an innovative solution in the field of furniture design.

The price of the issue for SparedSpace customers is about 150 euros per month, which go to cover electricity and water bills. The room itself is provided free of charge, however, at any time they may ask to clean it ...
