Google Play Books are now available in Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

On May 19, 2013, the user iwi left a comment on the article “Google Play Books now allows the user to upload their own books” :
For Ukraine is not yet relevant. At least they told me:
Sorry! Books on Google Play is not available in your country yet.
We’re working as quickly as possible.
Please check back again soon.

And so it happened!
Today I went to Google Play and saw a new icon - Books.

Google continues to popularize its services. At this time, the Internet giant without too much hype, opened access to Google Books for residents of Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Like other Google products, books are categorized. There is not only fiction, but also children's, and cognitive, and much more. There are both paid and free books. An interesting feature is the ability to view a fragment of the book. Apparently, to decide whether to buy a book or not.

The interface is almost no different from that in the Google Play Applications, except that the cover of the book is on the left and not above the title. You can see information about the book and the author, read user reviews and leave your own. The book can be added to the wish list. Just as in the Appendices, there is a section “More from the author”.

By analogy with Google Play Music, for reading you need to install the program Google Play Books . As its description says, it allows you to synchronize bookmarks, notes, and the place where the user finished reading, on all devices where they logged into this account. In addition, you can download the book to your device and read it offline. All this is very convenient: you can read a book on a smartphone in the subway, and continue at home, on a tablet.

Congratulations to the people of Ukraine and the Baltic States with the opportunity to legally download and read books!
