For many years, an 80% discount for students was applied to all our products.
Today we take another step in this direction and announce that students (and teachers) can use our products for free for educational purposes! This applies to all our IDE and tools for .NET development (and TeamCity and YouTrack already have free editions or plans).

But I just want to dwell on the requirements, because we need your help and feedback in this matter.
The free Student license replaces the Academic license and covers all IDE and tools for .NET. All holders of Academic licenses (except educational institutions) can now upgrade them to Personal. But all students and teachers can automatically confirm their “status” and use the products.
To obtain a Student license, you need to 1) enter a JetBrains Account and 2) confirm the student’s status using an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) or a unique email address with the * .edu domain.
You can apply now at jetbrains.com/student . There are also answers to frequently asked questions. Student licenses are issued for a period of 1 year, after which it is necessary to submit a new application.
“But what do students from the CIS do?” - you ask. Of course, not everyone has an ISIC card, although the piece is quite useful. And yes, our students do not have postal addresses ending in .edu. Knowing this, we plan to replenish the list of "valid" domains. This is where we need your help. Write to us whether such verification methods will suit you. We will take into account the wishes and make the necessary changes in the near future.
Student licenses are for students and teachers only. We also have Classroom licenses that allow teachers to use products for free in the learning process. This program remains unchanged, so if it suits you, do not hesitate and apply for Audit license.
Representatives of commercial educational institutions, we suggest contacting our sales department to discuss the special conditions for granting licenses for JetBrains products.
