The Charles Darwin Archive is now freely available on the Internet.

About 90,000 pages of documents related directly to Charles Darwin were posted on the Internet. The archive consists of manuscripts, notes, publications, personal letters, drafts for the Origin of Species and other works of the great scientist are of particular interest. This collection also contains documents reflecting Darwin’s interesting views on questions of the relationship of religious faith with scientific work, as reflected in the records of his wife Emma.

Earlier, according to Dr. John van Wyhe, project manager for the Darwin Online Project , which started at the University of Cambridge in 2002, most of these documents were available only to those who devoted themselves to science and had access to the Library of Cambridge University.
