But besides advantages, eeERs have some drawbacks (I will not enumerate, since everyone finds for himself some kind of minus in him). And in this post, I decided to bring a selection of possible competitors of the subnotebook from Asus.

Dreambook Light IL1
Dreambook Light IL1
This mini-notebook has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels, a 1-GHz VIA C7-M processor, 1 GB of RAM and a 40 GB hard drive (2, 4 and 8 GB flash drives are optionally offered).

Disadvantages: in the dreambook, there is no Wi-Fi adapter, which has become mandatory for this class of laptops, and not the lowest price for the basic version - $ 450 in the United States.

It is important that you can choose a pre-installed operating system: it can be Windows Vista or Linux Ubuntu.

Elonex

Elonex

The British company Elonex also released a super-compact inexpensive laptop, which costs about a hundred pounds (about $ 200).

The laptop is based on the Linux operating system, equipped with a rechargeable battery (the charge lasts for three hours of work), a Wi-Fi module, a flash drive and a “wireless music server”. With all this, the laptop will weigh less than 1 kg.

Using the Linux platform, the company aimed to reduce the cost of the device. And also do not forget about the wishes of government agencies that encourage the use of software, released not "monopolistic Microsoft".

For every 100 laptops sold, the company will donate one to poor children.
