By April 15 of this year, 142,226 people have signed the
Save XP petition. The “document” is on the website of the
Infoworld publication, and the petition itself calls on
Microsoft not to stop supporting the Windows XP operating system, which was supposed to end on June 30, 2008.
The petition represents the interests of all those who do not wish for any reason to upgrade to Windows Vista. The main requirement is the abolition of specific dates for the end of sales of Windows XP.
The first step in the active action of a public protest action is to postpone the “X” deadline to June 30, 2008. In early April, Microsoft agreed to extend sales of Windows XP Home Edition right up to mid-2010.
