So, half a year has not passed (literally), as Samsung has announced a new model of smart watches, called the Gear S. This watch is positioned by the manufacturer as an independent device, and not just a companion for a smartphone. Fortunately, now Gear S has a 3G module.
Of course, Gear S can also be used as a secondary device for displaying notifications from a smartphone. In addition to 3G, Gear S has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. So with such a device, the owner will always be online, no matter if there is a smartphone nearby, or not.

The developers have equipped their device with a 2-inch SuperAMOLED display with a resolution of 360 * 480, making the device quite large. The size is slightly concealed due to the curved shape of the device, it seems to be the first smart watch of this shape.
It is worth noting that the difference between the Samsung Gear S and all other models of smart watches is the operating system of the device: Tizen OS, and not Android Wear. According to the developers, the use of the new OS has made the watch more energy efficient, the charge is now enough for 2 days of work.
As for the processor, a dual-core 1GHz chip is installed, but the manufacturer is not called. Also, the developers have provided 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory available to the user.
There is no camera, but there is a standalone player.

In addition to new smart watches (which, of course, can be called stylish), the corporation also introduced the Gear Circle wireless headset. If the headset is not needed, the headphones are held together, and the device forms a plastic “necklace”.
In addition, the headset can vibrate if a message arrives on the paired device / a notification is displayed.
