Debt to the motherland in front of the monitor screen
According to rumors in Belarus, the initiative of one of the largest Eastern European software developers, with the support of High Technologies Park, is being developed to introduce an alternative service for draftees in the ranks of programmers in a software company.
Given the situation with the IT staff in the country, this development is quite natural. Every six months about ten thousand young people are recruited into the Belarusian army. And with proper provision of young professionals, the IT industry could grow 30% faster than it is now.
If the initiative passes coordination in all instances, then recruits will have a choice: one and a half years to walk “under arms” or two and a half years to knock on the keys, paying off the debt to the homeland in front of the monitor screen ... ')
