In Russia, consumers continue to instil in an accelerated manner a love for domestic products. This time, the chairman of the Central Election Commission Vladimir Churov, who spoke last weekend with a lecture at the Seliger youth forum, distinguished himself. At the event, Churov was presented with a set of souvenirs, where, among other "buns", there was a case for the iPhone with national symbols and the image of Russian cities. According to RIA Novosti, the chairman literally said: “Why is the case for the iPhone? You all know that the iPhone is popular, but it is necessary to gradually refuse from “iPhones” and switch to domestic devices. Maybe in future they will be even better. ” In addition, Churov noted that he would prefer to install the magnets that were among the souvenirs exclusively for domestic products.

Unfortunately, news spread on Internet resources cannot boast of clarifying a number of important details. For example, was the case specifically for the iPhone not specially donated, or did Churov really use the products of the American company Apple? If not, which “dialer” does the official prefer? In addition, if we are talking about Russian devices - it would be nice to indicate to compatriots which brands can be considered “native”. The first to come to mind is the “replicated” YotaPhone, some thoughts about his “Russian soul” were

The domestic market did not experience a particular lack of “Russian” smartphones either now or even a year ago. And the brands themselves do not complain about sales. Let’s take at least Explay,
according to the GfK report , for the first nine months of 2013, the brand showed an increase in sales of almost 24 times. Not so long ago, sales of Explay 4Game, a 4G smartphone with Nvidia Tegra 4i for moderate 10,990 rubles (~ $ 305), which clearly does not pull on a branded remake of Chinese catalogs, began.

In the same report in third place with a five-fold increase in sales - Highscreen, which in 2013
had a development unit with three dozen employees. Their first OEM product was Highscreen Zera F (the second version of the device appeared the other day), a little later - Zera S (the “sequel” is already on the shelves). Unknown fate of the latest model lineup, Zera U.

Who else can you remember? Of course, teXet, this is what the brand itself writes: “At the stage of development and preparation for mass production, each new product undergoes a full cycle of customization (from writing special software to preparing product design and packaging). In accordance with international standards, all devices are subject to strict checks and tests at the development stage at the Alkotel production site in St. Petersburg. ”

Of the newbies, I recall a certain bb-mobile, which has already managed to flood Runet with infopowders with titles like “Russian All-Metal Tablets”. It is argued that the brand offers only original Russian developments (but it’s not embarrassed to copy the top Samsung and Apple tablets), although I couldn’t find any details on this. However, in social networks, bb-mobile miraculously plays on patriotism with demotivators in the Soviet style (I will not give you here, whoever wants to - will find it without difficulty).
In general, high-ranking civil servants should show greater competence in the discussion of the mobile market. Because neither Russian consumers nor domestic brands complain about life very much: the first ones are happy with the choice of tens and hundreds of relatively inexpensive models, and the second more than successfully take their place under the sun and increase sales.
