Probably I'm not the only one who gets terribly annoyed by Facebook's constant and increasingly intrusive attempts to get you to install their messenger for correspondence in the social network as well ...
I resisted this as much as I could, but in the latest update, using chat is no longer possible without installing a new application.

However, there is a solution.

A number of publications publishes a working method of “bypassing” the mandatory installation of Facebook Messenger on iOS and the ability to read and respond to messages in a standard social network application, which has worked for me.

It's simple. We click on the “Install” button in the Facebook intrusive window, go to the App Store and start downloading the application. Halfway stop the process.



Then go to the Facebook application and voila - we have access to correspondence and the ability to respond



The method works only on iOS and will probably be fixed soon. But while we are happy to use.
