Nokia 5800 XpressMedia: Nokia's “killer” iPhone?

Almost immediately after the release of the iPhone, the mobile phone market leader, Nokia, announced its intention to press Apple into a new niche of multimedia touch screen phones. And finally, the first "pirated" photos and characteristics of the first touchscreen smartphone from Nokia, built on the new S60 Touch platform, appeared. According to the German resource Nokiaport , the device with the code name Tube will be released as the Nokia 5800 XpressMedia at the end of 2008. With a large touch screen, you can work with both fingers and a stylus. Technology haptic feedback allows you to make pressing the virtual keys tangible.

Characteristics of the device:
• GSM / EDGE networks (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), UMTS / HSDPA
• 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 360x640 pixels, 16M colors
• 140 MB of internal memory
• 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera
• Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi
• GPS receiver
• 3.5mm audio jack
• TV-out

I would like to note such advantages over the iPhone, such as smaller size and weight, higher resolution of the screen and camera, work in the networks of the 3rd generation. On the shortcomings can only talk after the release of the device.

It is not yet known whether the control will be implemented with the help of “gestures”, as it is done on the iPhone, or the touch function of the screen will only simulate a keyboard.
UPD.: As it turned out, it will be. negatin in the comments shared a link to the video where it is shown.
