World Programming Championship Winners
The final of the World Student Programming Championship is over.
The main heroes of the championship was the team from SPbGUITMO , who won first place and became the world and European champion of 2008!
The guys from IzhSTU , who took the 3rd place, received the gold medal (according to the championship tradition, four leaders of the competition receive gold medals).
Of the 6,700 teams representing 83 countries, only 100 were admitted to the final competition. Apart from the IzhSTU and SPbGUITMO teams, Russia was represented by teams from Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, St. Petersburg State University, Petrozavodsk and Ural State Universities and others.
