High-speed construction of an energy efficient home

This One9 building was erected in just 5 days in the Australian city of Melbourne. This speed became possible due to the fact that the individual parts of the nine-storey building were built in advance, and on the spot it was necessary to simply lay them down, like a designer.

The developer assures that this method can be used in the construction of buildings up to seventy floors.

In total, the building has thirty-four modules with one or two bedrooms. The modules are equipped with double glazed windows to provide noise insulation and thermal protection.

Solar panels are installed on the roof, the energy of which is enough to heat the water used by residents. The hot water system in the building is designed to ensure high efficiency of water circulation. Energy saves and used in the building lighting.

There is also a rainwater collection tank on the roof. All the water drained into the sewage system is cleaned and used again.

In order to further reduce the environmental impact, residents will be transplanted to bicycles (for this purpose, the building has a bicycle parking for thirty-four bikes) and to the GreenShareCar electric car.
