Plastic, steel and two Teflon nozzles. New 3d 打印机 from China

War loves victory and does not like duration. (故 兵 貴 勝 , 不 貴 久)
Sun Tzu, Art of War. (孫子兵 法)

In 2002, he read Computerra with the theme of the issue “Real Chinese Quality” . Now I saw what real Chinese agility is.
The keys did not have time to cool down after the article about Ultimaker 2 , as the Chinese announce the “analogue” of the Ultimaker - Mankati Fullscale XT , but with two extruders at once (and there is a third in the menu items).

I hope, guessed that 3d 打印机 is a 3d printer in Chinese (although who knows, maybe 3d-printer is English translation 3d).
Over the past two months, when preparing posts on Habré, I’ve got to the Chinese Wikipedia for the third time (the first time was when I wrote about Firefly , the second time when Chinese hackers cracked Tesla S).
As once according to the manuals for pirated programs, computer games "taught" English, now, according to the articles on Habré, I "learn" Chinese.

Under the cut there are several photos and a description, a comparison of Mankati vs Ultimaker and a survey, which is the primary advantage of two extruders

Stepper motor of axes X, Y 42 * 48, 1.3 A; Z axis 42 * 63, 1.5 A
Geared motor E42 * 42, 1:10 ratio

Control Panel. Shows the temperature of the platform, the temperature of the first nozzle, the temperature of the second nozzle and ... the temperature of the third nozzle.

Size of the printing area 250x250x300 mm

Heated platform bottom view. Calibrated with 4 screws

It is structurally very similar to ultimaker2

Two powerful engines to push through plastic

Tubes through which "force is transmitted" to extruders.
There are no engines on the extruders themselves, which makes the print head easier.

The engines are located on the rear panel.

Mankati vs Ultimaker 2

With equal parameters of performance and accuracy, Mankati is inferior to Ultimaker in exterior design and noiselessness, but wins in price (83 thousand for Mankati versus 120 thousand for Ultimaker 2) and ease of changing parts (plastic feed motors are outside, it is easy to change the nozzle and extruder, etc.)
Mankati has a print area of 250x250x300mm, while Ultimaker 2 has a print area of 226x226x206mm.

Communicating with manufacturers and suppliers, I always wonder who and why buys their printers, and ask you to tell the most interesting cases.
This time, the Russian distributor told me about the most remarkable cases of the acquisition of Mankati Fullscale XT. One client was from the film industry (made props for filming), another was from a puppet theater. They bought a printer to prototype drink bottles, to create parts for aeromodelling, as well as to open their 3d printing business.

And as always there was a conversation, why do you need 2 extruders.
The first option (design) is to create two-color beautiful things that a one-color printer is not capable of doing.
The second option (engineering) is to make the support water-soluble plastic, which allows you to create unusual design solutions (and convenience too).
