Doping tests for professional gamers

Director of the League of Professional Cyber-Athletes ( CPL ), Angel Munoz (Angel Munoz), in an interview with Tom's Hardware magazine, said that his organization had begun to prepare a program of mandatory testing of participants in its competitions for their use of narcotic substances.

Munoz notes that there have not yet been cases when amphetamines would have been used by gamers to improve their gaming performance in major official competitions. However, in small open-participation competitions, there are more than enough cases when adolescents receive illicit drugs that improve reaction and attention.

Launched CPL company found support among the most famous gamers and companies operating in the gaming field. After all, every year the size of prizes at the championships in cyber-sports is increasing, there are more and more participants, and it is time to take care that young people do not stand on a curved path, according to Munoz.
