SpaceX will build a futuristic space center in Texas

In addition to Florida, SpaceX uses the California space center to launch its spacecraft. But soon everything can change, and launches will be made from the spaceport built in Texas. The new spaceport will be built in Cameron County, Texas.

The fact of construction is confirmed by Dale Ketchem , director of strategic communications agency Space Florida. According to the official, this week an official announcement is expected from Elon Musk.

In fact, the company Mask, SpaceX, has already received permission from the authorities (Federal Aviation Administration) for 12 launches of spacecraft a year from a new spaceport of 56.5 acres. Musk plans to use the Texas Spaceport as the main one for flights of “tourist flights” and missions paid for by governments of different countries.

The Bloomberg agency also confirms the fact of construction, informing that the new cosmodrome will have an ultra-futuristic design. Despite the fact that Musk received permission for 12 launches per year, his plans, as always, are ambitious. In any case, Musk wants to prepare the cosmodrome so that it can carry out several launches of ships per day (!). This can be useful after the official launch of the Martian campaign.

In general, it all sounds rather unusual, but he is exactly like that, Elon Musk. This man is looking to the future.

By the way, this is not the last spaceport, which should appear in the near future. For example, the UK is going to host a new spaceport until 2018 .
