Training Course - Applied Project Management through the PMBOK Standard (5th Edition)

During the training, the participants will work out the selected project (often it is taken from the customer’s business), the use of tools, techniques and start-up methods, planning, execution, monitoring and completion of the selected projects. At the same time, students will have to understand the essence of the existing tools with the principles of their independent use in practice. The PMBOK courses combine the intensity of the presentation of material with the simultaneous consolidation of knowledge in practice during the business game and numerous exercises (both group and individual).

After the PMBOK courses are completed, students will have the following skills and knowledge:

Practical tasks of the training

1) Preliminary test to assess the initial orientation in the field of project management (to determine the level of group preparation and the appropriate presentation of the material).

2) Group exercise on the choice of the project (as a through example for the entire training) and the development of the Concept of this project.

3) Group exercise on the development of the project charter.

4) Group exercise on the development of the WBS-structure of the project.

5) Individual group test to assess the team problem solving for planning the stages of project implementation.

6) Group exercise on the development of the project schedule and analysis of the critical path method.

7) Group exercise to determine the milestones of the project.

8) Group exercise on project reporting based on S-curves and list
milestones

9) Individual-group exercise to identify project risks and plan for responding to the occurrence of risk events.

10) A business game to develop multi-project management skills in the context of limited company resources and resolve resource conflicts.

11) A business game to work out the skills of understanding the requirements of the Customer and delivering the finished project to the Customer.

12) The final test to assess the completeness of the assimilation of the material.
