An interesting development in the field of information design was presented by Tianamo . This is an interactive 3D interface for the visual presentation of any unstructured data, such as search results.
The demo video shows how search results from Yahoo overlap as dots on a flat surface. The distance between the points corresponds to the proximity of the results to each other. As a result of linguistic analysis, the system identifies key topics and turns them into peaks on a three-dimensional map.
Management is carried out through the browser. Clicks on the 3D-landscape can zoom, rotate the picture and go into those information areas that require more detailed study.
