The vast majority of gadgets from the world of wearable electronics look very high-tech and stylish. These are soft-touch, metal and plastic gadgets that look ... well, like gadgets. You can even talk about the style of "hi-tech", which very many people like.

Many, but not all. The Pebble smart watches are good for everyone, but a person who has a favorite mechanical watch will not always give up his watch in favor of such a device. What to do if you want to get a smart gadget, for example, a fitness tracker, but do not like the way it looks? Now there is a way out, and this exit can be called Activité , a mechanical watch fitness tracker, a stylish hybrid of a mechanical watch and a fitness tracker, created by the company Withings.

Functionality

The device is equipped with an accelerometer, which works during walking / running, and during training in the pool. In addition, the watch can determine the duration and quality of sleep of the owner.



The watch is waterproof, can withstand immersion to a depth of 40 meters (5 atmospheres). I do not know what fitness goals a user may have if he has plunged to such a depth, but the device will endure all this.

All data is transmitted via wireless (Bluetooth Low Energy) to a smartphone. They are synchronized with the application Withings Health Mate , which allows you to keep a plan of activity, monitor progress, share achievements with friends.



Unfortunately, the device cannot notify about messages arriving on the smartphone, that is it is not a smart watch. But the watch vibrates when reaching another fitness goal, or when the alarm goes off.

Design and delivery

Actually, once again we will not talk about the fact that the device looks like a mechanical watch (although it has already been said, again). Activité is equipped with two dials. The first is the clock itself. The second shows the progress of the user when setting any goals (go through 10,000 steps per day, for example).

The watch's glass is sapphire, it reacts to touches, changing the mode of operation (for example, from a sleep detector to a pedometer).

With the gadget comes two straps: plastic and leather. The device itself comes in two versions: with a black or white dial, and black or brown straps, respectively.

The power of the gadget comes from the usual "watch" batteries, they are enough for about a year of continuous operation. There are no functional buttons, watch - minimalist.
