We close our blog hosting - Ya.ru. Until the end of summer, all blogs and clubs will no longer be available. Do not worry, no materials will be lost. Already today, users of Ya.ru have the opportunity to transfer all their records to LiveJournal - to create a new account or add to an existing one. All your friends with Ya.ru, who are registered in LiveJournal, will automatically appear in your friends and there. You can move until November 1. In addition, we will save the full archive of each user - all entries, comments and posts to clubs. You can find the archive on Yandex.Disk.
Ya.ru was opened in April 2007. In 2009, the service was one of the four largest blogohostingov in runet - along with LiveJournal, Blogs.Mail.ru and LiveInternet. After that, the popularity of Ya.ru began to decrease - actually, along with the decline in the popularity of the blogosphere as a whole and the growth of social networks. The development was frozen, and the service virtually ceased to develop.
Now at least once a month, about 0.3% of the diaries opened on the service is updated. Only about 1500 new comments appear per day on average. Obviously, most people prefer to write and communicate on social networks in other sites. In such a situation, it becomes difficult and impractical to support Ya.ru. Therefore, we have decided to close.
Changes are expected and another service - Yandex.Video. In August, the service will remain only the search part - it will continue to work in full and will continue to develop. Downloading new videos will be possible only on Yandex.Disk, while public viewing will be limited. All the video that you have already downloaded will also be on the Disk - and you will get a place to store it for free and forever. There is a video on the disc, videos can still be shared with friends. For many of our users, this is a more convenient and modern way to keep their personal records.
