GeeksLab Hackathon 1.0: E-Government / CityProjects

From July 25-27, within the framework of Odessa Innovation Week, GeeksLab Hackathon1.0 will be held : E-Government / CityProjects - a two-day themed hackathon that will allow participants to bring their ideas to life.

The main directions of the hackathon:

• E-Government is a project designed to help improve the efficiency of the state and transparent communication of citizens and the state through the development of e-Gov civil services.
• City Projects - IT projects that will help improve the urban environment or a certain aspect of it. The main topics are the development of civil society, urban activism, urbanism, housing and public utilities, assistance to socially unprotected categories of citizens, ecology, public transport, the use of new media, journalism, attraction to the tourist brand of the city, and more.

The event was supported by such companies as: Yandex Ukraine, Growth UP, World Economic Forum / Global Shapers, DataArt, international network Impact Hub, Social Boost and more.

Well-known figures from Ukraine and Estonia, specialists in urban studies, as well as professionals from the IT, legal, social, and state spheres will become judges and mentors of the hackathon. Odessa StartUp Day

July 27 will complete the week of innovative technologies Odessa StartUp Day , which will be devoted to new IT-projects and their development opportunities in Ukraine.

After summarizing the results of GeeksLab Hackathon: E-government / CityProjects, you will have the opportunity to participate in roundtables and panel discussions on topics relevant to IT business, listen to reports on the Business stream, and test various hardware devices in the entertainment and entertainment zone. on the avenue startups.

Technological and hardware start-ups and hackerspaces of Ukraine will be presented at StartUp Alley . Today, this trend is developing quite rapidly. One of the goals is the formation of a community and mentoring assistance to each other.

The “Business” stream will consist of a series of reports from successful IT entrepreneurs, investors, crowd funding platforms, representatives of foundations, business incubators and accelerators: the right pitching, how to find an investor, how to put sales processes in startups, success stories, opportunities and trends the market. At the end of the day, there will be a StartUp Crash Test where 3 of the most interesting projects from StartUp Alley will be tested for strength.
