"Moscow Routes" improved search algorithm

The search service of the routes of Moscow transport is constantly evolving, it has new opportunities.

New useful feature of the site this week was the search and display of the best routes, not only at design speed, but also according to other criteria:

In addition, the new version of the “Moscow routes” began to differentiate the duration of intermediate transfers depending on the distance between stops and the modes of transport (ground or underground). Now, in calculating and searching for the best routes, not only lengths and average speeds are taken into account, but also the distance between stops, from which transport to which the transition is made, the time of ascent and descent to the subway, and the length of transitions between metro stations. These innovations allowed the new version of the site to more accurately calculate the length of the foot sections and the estimated travel time.

For English-speaking visitors of the portal an English version was made and launched with a fully translated interface and the issuance of addresses and route names in transliteration.

In addition, at the request of site visitors, some improvements and additions were made in the design of the issued routes, as well as in the use of the map.
