Sony BMG will pay 300 thousand euros

The advocates of students fined for piracy by large media publishers can joyfully rub their hands. According to the popular resource Engadget , Sony BMG, a major player in the music market and a participant in many trials, is held administratively responsible for using unlicensed software. It was discovered by accident when one of the system administrators of the French branch of the company contacted the technical support of the manufacturer, PointDev. The license key specified in the application turned out to be stolen, and the developers didn’t stop talking.
Only the amount of the claim unimportant for the giant remains an annoying trifle: 300 thousand euros.
