The government is ready to pay for Russian studies in foreign universities

The Russians, who independently entered leading foreign universities, will be able to attend them at state expense. According to Izvestia, last Friday, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree.

The program is called “Global Education” and gives anyone the opportunity to study for free at the best foreign universities, but there are conditions. First, the applicant must already have a bachelor's degree. That is, younger students do not enter the program. Secondly, the student will be required to work after graduation in a Russian company for at least 3 years. Otherwise, he will be obliged to pay a fine of three times the amount that was spent on his training.

The program is designed for 2014–2016, during which time it is planned to train at least 1.5 thousand Russians at state expense. In total, the authorities expect to spend about 4.4 billion rubles on this. The maximum amount allocated for the training of one person will be 1.5 million rubles. The list of universities whose tuition will be paid by the state has also been approved by the government, it includes more than two hundred universities in 25 countries. Among the selected specialties are dominated by technical, medical, computer, chemical and energy.

The final list of the government includes the best universities in the world. It has a Massachusetts University of Technology, Harvard University, Cambridge University, University College London, Oxford University, Yale University and a few dozen universities, each of which is included in the list of "Best Universities in the World." The cost of the academic year of study in them ranges from 17 to 30 thousand euros, and university fees are about 6 thousand per year, this does not include living expenses, add "News".
