We have already written about certification in IT in
a previous article . As a result of the vote, we found out that half of the readers are interested in obtaining certification.
Therefore, when our company, in collaboration with Microsoft MVP Orin Thomas, prepared a textbook for preparing for the Microsoft exam
74-409 (Server Virtualization with Windows Server Hyper-V and System Center ), we decided to share with the Habr community, as
like a freebie guide turned out good and it is nice to recommend to help.

Under the cut a little about the material in this manual and download link.
The manual material is divided into 8 main chapters:
- Settings Virtual Machines (VM);
- Disk storage for VM;
- Hyper-V virtual networks and network neighborhoods;
- VM application;
- Virtualized infrastructure management;
- Hyper-V failover clusters and their roles;
- VM migration;
- Monitoring and recovery after failures.
The material completely coincides with what you need to know before passing the exam. Learning goes from simple to complex, starting with an introduction to VMs and their settings, and ending with restoring the virtual infrastructure after failures.
A possible disadvantage for readers will be that the book is in English, but we see only advantages here, since the exam itself is also in English and will not need to be confused in 2 languages.
And most importantly - the manual can be downloaded
here. Good reading and exams!
PS: And we also have
good manuals for
VMware VCP and
VMware VCAP certification.
