The ProtonMail mail service team from CERN began collecting funds for additional servers

Like many users, I left an invite to invite after a post on Habré about how three employees of the European Nuclear Research Laboratory (CERN) developed a postal service that claims to be one of the most secure in the world.

And today I received a letter from them - not with an invitation, but with a request to support the project with money. The request for secure mail from Switzerland is so great that the team needs more server capacity.

The amount that they collect is relatively small - only $ 100,000, and already 40% successfully collected.

The letter promises that if the campaign succeeds, ProtonMail for everyone will work by the end of July. In addition to encryption technology, the Swiss legislation will also protect the user's privacy.
