A program to assess female attractiveness has been created.

An Israeli student programmer has chosen an unusual topic for his thesis. He developed a self-learning program that can determine the degree of attractiveness of a female face. This is a very useful utility that can be used in many areas: from automatic rating of profiles on dating sites to an objective assessment of participants in a beauty contest. In addition, the program will provide invaluable assistance to some geeks who are used to relying on computer assistance to solve literally all life problems.

The new development is not limited to the traditional approach, which consists in the analysis of facial features, the calculation of key proportions and symmetry. Actually, this method does not work on all faces. Although the program calculates 98 key characteristics, such as geometric characteristics, smoothness and skin color, but at the same time, a self-learning system with elements of artificial intelligence is also used, that is, the program is customized by men according to the patterns of female faces. A thousand samples are enough, after which the computer very accurately predicts the estimates of men.

Interestingly, the Israeli development successfully works only on women, because male faces are much more difficult to aesthetically evaluate: there it is necessary to take into account much more parameters.
