MobileOptimized - mobile weekend in Minsk with facebook, google and other developers
This post is about the MobileOptimized conference in Minsk, and how this is probably one of the best events in the CIS for technology networking in mobile application development.
MobileOptimized 2014 - for the first time the largest conference for mobile application developers in Belarus has reached the level of the best European events. 2 days, 60 speakers from the USA, Australia, Taiwan, England, Germany, Holland, Norway, Finland, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Under the roof of the event will gather for acquaintance of 15 technological communities from different cities of the Netherlands, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania and Russia. Keynout Day - June 28th. Reports on it are scheduled for representatives of the world's leading companies and guests of the best technology and business conferences in the world. For the first time in Belarus, and many for the first time in the CIS, speakers such as Phil Hewinson from Facebook , Sascha Pallenberg - founder of MobileGeeks , Chris Eidhof - founder of objc.io , Charles McCathie Nevile, co-author of W3C (Yandex) standards, Huib Kleinhout - Opera Coast technical leader, Adam Landis - LifeStreet Media CEO, Attila Csipa - Nokia / Microsoft , Luis Solano from Pixable .
Community Day - June 29 will be held in the format of international networking. Visiting MobileOptimized and among the speakers are activists and leaders of various independent developer communities from more than ten cities in Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus: CocoaHeads, GDG and many others.
The reports will be held in 4 streams , divided into blocks:
- Business / Startup block for those who are thinking to go to their voyage. Experience successful companies.
- Web / Crossplatform block from the WebNotBombs community for mobile web and JS fans. After reports from Charles and Hube on the first day you will have something to discuss!
- Mobile GameDev block from Unity / GameDev community. 6 reports and a panel discussion with such gamedev stars as Galenkin, Voikhansky, Merzlikin, Minsky, Prosin, Petrochenko, Borodulkin will allow you to be in trend.
- iOS block from the CocoaHeadsBY community a whole day long — these are 10 reports on the hottest topics, including Reverse Engineering, unit testing, attribute-oriented programming, Ruby, lambda on hardcore, the new Behaviours approach, and, of course, a detailed report about Swift, which is completed by a panel discussion on this topic among experts from around the world.
- Android and Google block from the GDG community - this is 7 reports and a detailed panel discussion on Google Glass.
- The UX / UI / Mobile Design unit was also created with the support of the WebNotBombs community; 3 advanced reports for those who are not indifferent to the appearance and convenience of the applications will complement the conference program well.
- The Mobile QA block, created with the support of the QA Club, invites not only testing specialists, but also developers to talk about automation and security.
- As part of the Windows / Windows Phone 8 block from the WinITby community, after the ceremonial award of the winners of the application competition on the first day, developers will gather to discuss the possibilities of Azure Mobile Services and xamarin for cross-platform development
- The marketing and monetization unit will be especially useful for product managers, business owners, young startups and marketers, as experts from the US and Russia, as well as the most successful Belarusian product companies, will talk about application marketing, mobile advertising and the available opportunities of agencies never reach a small company.
This year the co-organizer of the conference was Apalon, the leader in product development on the App Store. Among the special partners of the event are well-known international companies Yandex and IG Dev. Gold partners of the event were Google, Microsoft, Ciklum and Wargaming.net. Companies participating in the conference are Softeq Development, EPAM Systems, Viber Media and many others.

Recall that this year the conference will be held for the fourth time. In previous years, the event gathered from 500 to 700 mobile platform developers from Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. However, this year the conference is reaching a fundamentally new quality level.
