Internal USB charging

Puzzled by this problem, I began to look for internal USB sockets. Gira and Legrand have options with 1 USB socket and 1 A power supply and 2 USB sockets and a 1.5 A power supply, but no one has 4 USB sockets. Realizing that all this does not suit me, and the prices for internal USB sockets are horse, I decided to make myself an outlet with 4 USB ports and a power supply. As a power supply, I used charging from iPad 2.4. And as the most compact and powerful.

So, for the manufacture of embedded USB sockets for 4 ports, we need:

1. Power supply from iPad 2.4A (avito.ru - 100 rubles, apple.ru - 800 rubles)
2. USBA-2J double socket on the board 2 pcs. (voltmaster.ru - 23 x2)
3. USB-A plug on the cable (voltmaster.ru - 13p)
4. A piece of breadboard for soldering (found in bins)

I squandered a hole for the size of USB ports and soldered 4 USB sockets to one USB plug. When charging, not only +5 and GND are used, but also DATA -, DATA +. iPhone without D + and D- connected to charging is not charging.


Super glue glued 4 USB sockets to the bore hole of the Ethernet, and on top of it all was filled with a glue gun. I plugged in the power supply and tried on the whole thing in a 40 mm depth pan. Even a little space left.

So far, I charge 3 phones and 2.4 A charge from the iPad is enough, especially since the phones rarely charge at the same time.
