According to analysts, the most likely targets are the New York Stock Exchanges and the largest banks.

The threat of such a hacker attack was contained in a message on one of the extremist sites, a representative of the US Department of Homeland Security Russ Nok told reporters on Thursday. The site states that the attack can occur at any time in December. Terrorists, according to their statement, want to take revenge "for the Muslim brothers who languish in Guantanamo prison," Reuters reports.

The ministry believes that Islamist hackers will not be able to cause serious damage to the United States or stop the work of large financial institutions. Despite this, a report on “understanding the situation” was distributed to shareholders - a measure that should be considered an exceptionally precaution.
